Delete whatsapp messages for everyone up  to a week old

How you can delete whatsapp messages for everyone up  to a week old and that the methods that we show   you today will be nice they'll be easy and they'll  be simple to follow so let's get into that video   i'm sure at this point everyone in the world knows  what whatsapp is already i'm sure you know what it   is i'm sure you use it i'm sure your friends and  family use it because there is up to 2 billion   users that use whatsapp every single day and  with 2 billion people using whatsapp every day   sometimes messages that you send might not send  to the right people or if you're anything like my   phone your autocorrect changes words to some words  that are a little bit more embarrassing which you   don't want your mum or your boss or your friends  seeing or actually even worse you could send a   photo to your mum that was not meant for your mum  which means you then need to go ahead and delete   those messages hopefully before people can see  them but sometimes you might realize a couple of   days later so you still need to be able to delete  them so luckily for you ,  will show you some methods on how you can delete  whatsapp messages and how you can delete whatsapp   messages for everyone with messages that are as  old up to a week and you might still be sat there   thinking and asking yourself well how do i not  know about this method and

how do i do this how   do i delete those whatsapp messages for everyone  so let's tell you and start with method one in method one and this first step the first thing  that you'll need to do to delete these messages is   grab your android phone and then once you've got  your android phone you need to make sure you open   up whatsapp you'll then need to find the chat  where the message is that you want to delete   okay now you've found the chat the next step  is just as easy and what you'll need to do   is find the message within that chat that is the  one that needs to be deleted once you've found   the message you need to long press on it and then  in the top right hand corner of the screen what   you'll see is a bin icon and this is something  that you need to click on once clicked on   this will then give you the options to delete  for me which is you or delete for everyone and   this is the option that you need to be picking  once you select the delete for everyone option   that message that was selected will be deleted  for everyone in that conversation and this works   if it's a single contact or a message within  a group chat you'll also see in the chat the   message you deleted this message to confirm that  it is already been deleted and something that you   might not know which is quite handy is that you  can actually delete more than one message at a   time and it's the exact same way as we just  mentioned but just selecting more than one   message that method is really good for deleting  messages quickly if you realize that you've made   a mistake but after one hour you don't get that  option to delete the messages for everybody   so what happens at that point if you still  need to delete a message

there a way around   it can you still delete whatsapp messages  for everyone and the answer to that is yes   you can delete messages up to one week old so  let's show you how to do that with method two so at this point i'm sure you're sat there  thinking well how do i delete those messages   after that one hour time frame well don't worry  because the next few simple easy steps will   show you exactly how you can do that so don't  worry if you have missed that 60 minute window   and just a quick side note before we carry on  it has to be you that sends that message so if   someone else has sent you that message you cannot  delete it for everybody it has to have been sent   by you and now you know that you can start with  your first step which is turning off your wi-fi   and mobile data to make sure that whatsapp has no  access to data at all and that is nice and easy   just pull down that quick settings menu from the  top of your screen and turn off the wi-fi there   step one of method two is nice and easy for  you to follow but remember this only works on   android for this method and unfortunately this  only works on older versions of whatsapp so if   you have your android device what you need to do  here in the next part is head into your settings   menu on your android phone and find your date  and time settings the reason for this is that   we're going to do a bit of magic now with the  time and date so just make sure you find and   select the date and time options when inside this  part of the settings menu what you'll need to do   is turn off automatic date and time because this  makes sure that the next parts of this video work   perfectly once you've done that you need to make  sure you then manually set the time and date to   match up with the message that you want to delete  so it could be a good idea here to make a note of   the time and date of the message that you want  to delete before you set that time manually next   go into your settings find the app section but  this might be called apps and notifications as   well depending on the phone that you're using  when you're in the app section you might have   already guessed what you need to do next but

if  you haven't you then need to scroll down until you   can see what's up and once you click on it another  page should open up immediately when you're in the   next section you need to select the for stop  option and then just click ok the reason why   you need to select four stop here is just to make  sure that whatsapp is not open at all and it's not   receiving any data or any background information  because it needs to be closed completely for the   next step for the next step this is now where you  can delete that message for everyone so you'll   need to go back into whatsapp and find the message  in that group chat or contact that needs deleting   and just like before just long press once you've  done that select that bin icon in the top corner   and then select delete for everyone this means  that that message will now delete for everyone   and not just you and

final step here on  step 6 is you just need to go back and change   your date and time settings to its automatic  setting so to do that go back into settings   date and time and this time just make sure you  select automatic you can now head back into   whatsapp as well just to double check that that  message has been deleted and then finally you   have got rid of that message for everyone there  we go that is it those whatsapp messages should   now have been deleted and you did not have to be  quick because that is how you can delete whatsapp   messages for everyone for messages that are up  to a week old so if you miss that 60 minute time   frame that whatsapp gives you now there is no need  to worry we hope this has helped you and answered   a couple of those questions and now hopefully  you can delete those embarrassing messages that   you sent to your boss by mistake.
